Step 1 – How will I know ABA is for my child?

Our consultation will allow you to discuss your concerns and determine if ABA therapy is right for your child. We tailor a treatment plan for your child that focuses on their individual strengths and addresses their skill deficiencies based on a skill assessment specifically chosen for your child. We achieve better results by working together with our Behavioral experts. Call our Office at (407)-655-5230.

Step 2 – The Onboarding Process

For your child to begin ABA therapy, provide us with your proper documentation such as insurance/scholarship information, a diagnostic evaluation, and a doctor’s recommendation. From there, a comprehensive intake interview will be conducted with you and a qualified Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to gather further information regarding your family and child’s history, needs, and concerns. During this intake interview, a preliminary schedule and treatment recommendation will be made.

Step 3 – Planning for Your Child

Following insurance approval, the BCBA chosen to lead your child’s care will compile the treatment plan. This treatment plan combines data collected from the interview, medical history, and observation. The treatment plan will include goals, interventions, and a medical recommendation for treatment. Treatment goals will be determined based on skill deficits observed and displayed in a chosen and insurance approved assessment. These assessments will identify strengths and weaknesses across domains including communication, social skills, daily living skills, language, and executive functioning. This skill assessment will provide baseline data and serve as a source for potential treatment goals. The treatment plan will be reviewed with you prior to submitting to insurance to ensure the interventions and goals that will be in place are satisfactory.

Step 4 – Implementation of Treatment Plan

All Registered Behavior Therapists (RBTs) involved in implementing your child’s behavior plan will be guided, supervised and overseen by the BCBA. Each session, your child’s behavior therapist will collect data to monitor and analyze their progress. This will be crucial for the BCBA to modify their treatment plan if necessary. Your child’s plan will be updated as new skills are learned. In order to ensure the most effective and successful outcomes, the BCBA will supervise behavior therapists and consult with caregivers regularly.
